Testing A Location

Sometimes you may need to troubleshoot problems connecting to a Location. The Connection Test feature allows you to do this. It is accessible from

• The Test Connection button in the Location Editor.

• The … menu for the Transfering Files in Send & Receive.

• The Test Connection button in the Download Shared Files dialog.

• The Test Connection button in the Connect to Shared Folder dialog.

The Connection Test dialog will display the results of the test, which checks your network connectivity, server compatibility, user login credentials, and whether you can upload and download files from this server correctly.

To rerun a test, simply click the Run Tests button.
