Windows 7 InstallationΒΆ
Jetstream server may not be able to start on certain Windows 7 installations. If the Jetstream Server service stops right after it was started, it may be due to a missing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 redistributable. In most cases the redistributable is bundled with the Service Pack 1 Windows Update, but sometimes it may be missing.
To verify this is the case, open the command prompt and execute:
C:\> "C:\Program Files\Cumul8\Jetstream Server\bin\jetstream.exe" server
If you get an error dialog stating there is a missing api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll
file, you need to download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC.
We recomment you reboot the machine after installation, even though you may not be prompted to do so.
