Known Issues¶
Expanding Folders With Large Number of Items¶
The JetStream application may become unresponsive when expanding a folder containing a very large number of items (e.g. thousands of files) in the Transfering Files file browser. The folder will eventually be displayed.
Transferring Many Files¶
The JetStream Send & Receive file browsers may be disabled (grayed-out) for a period of time after starting a transfer with a very large number of items (e.g. tens-of-thousands of files). They will become available as soon as the file-scan phase of the transfer completes.
Destination IP Addresses¶
When the JetStream Client is closed and re-opened, transfers that used to show destination names might show destination IPs. Only a limited number of destination names are remembered across sessions.
Firewall (NAT) Traversal¶
The JetStream client tries to traverse firewalls and NAT, but some NAT configurations may prevent it from doing so. If this happens, it can be worked around by statically mapping the JetStream UDP ports through the firewall, or moving he machine running JetStream Client to a DMZ.
If Router NAT Traversal is enabled in the application settings, the client will additionally attempt to a open public port in the router/firewall using either the UPnP or NAT-PMP protocols. The initial handshake with the router is performed only during application startup. If the router is unavailable at this time, the UPnP/NAT-PMP functionality will be disabled. Re-run the application to try again.
JetStream Client May Become Unresponsive¶
If the JetStream Client is left running and the computer goes to sleep, the JetStream client may become unresponsive under some circumstances.
Using Google Apps Mail Server¶
In order to use Google Apps mail server, you will have to setup your Google account to allow JetStream Client to use your account. The changes to your account will differ if you have two factor authentication enabled.
To use Google Accounts with two-factor authentication enabled, you will need to generate an App password for JetStream Client to use. Please follow the steps in the How to generate an App password section of the Sign in using App Passwords Google support document.
To use Google Accounts without two-factor authentication enabled, you will need to allow it. Please follow the steps in the Let less secure apps use your account Google support document.
Connection Test¶
The Connection Test may fail while executing the download portion of Transfer test when testing servers prior to 1.9.0, and the server doesn’t have a root (/
) sandbox.
